Amos loves make-believe and Jake and the Neverland Pirates.....so a pirate party was perfect for him! The few days before his party, he kept saying, "I want my captain birthday!" (Thinking of Captain Hook on Jake and the Neverland Pirates.) I loved that. :-)
While waiting for everyone to arrive, Uncle Daniel wanted Amos to go ahead and open his present from him.

The show must go on! Papaw stayed in character thru his bleeding finger. Later that night he had to get several stitches! Love that he stayed in character that whole time! :-) Kids loved it too.

This was Amos' first year for our special birthday questions tradition. Every year, starting at 4 years old, I ask the kids these same questions. Amos wasn't quite ready for the questions. He didn't understand some of them, but it was still fun to record the answers that he said. I just love some of these answers. Oh, Amos, you are such a joy in our lives! I'm soo thankful God allowed you to be a part of our family. Your constant hugs throughout the day are such a gift to Mommy. We love you so very much!
