Ezra is ELEVEN!

ELEVEN!! Eleven years of loving this boy. He has matured sooo much in the last year, and it's been really neat to see. He is an officer of the safety patrols at school, and he is just thriving. This kid loves competition, soccer, the outdoors, being active. All boy. He is responsible, funny, protective, hates to be late, and always wants to be prepared. My favorite times with him are one-on-one because that's when he really opens up. I'm crazy about this kid and beyond proud. Happy Birthday to my Ezra Kirk. 💖

Amos is SEVEN!

Last night was definitely one of those nights that I would love to etch in my memory for the rest of my life. Amos and I read together a few of my favorite books. After reading Guess How Much I Love You, he said, "I love you all the way to heaven." I said, "That's very very far." He said, "More than a million far." 😊 Then after reading our books in my bed, he wanted me to carry him to his bed like the mom rocks her boy in As Long As I'm Living My Baby You'll Be. 😭I am so blessed to mother one of the sweetest souls I've ever met. I sure have loved being his momma for the last 7 years. 💓

I ask my kids these same birthday questions every year on their exact birthday. Here are Amos' responses on his seventh birthday. :)

1. What is something Mommy always says to you?  I love you.

2.  What makes Mommy happy?  Me hugging you.

3.  What makes Mommy sad?  Like sad books that are really beautiful and stuff and cute.

4.  How does Mommy make you laugh?  I don't know.  I forget.

5.  What was Mommy like as a child?  How am I supposed to know that?  I haven't seen a picture or video.  How can I know that? (Lol)

6.  How old is Mommy?  40- that's easy.

7.  How tall is Mommy?  Like maybe this tall (And holds his hand over his head.)

8.  What is Mommy's favorite thing to do?  To hug me.  Of course it is.

9.  What does Mommy do when you're not around?  Do stuff on her computer.

10.  If Mommy becomes famous, what will it be for? Maybe....I don't know at all.  

11.  What is Mommy really good at?  Reading

12.  What is Mommy not very good at?  Doing the splits. (lol)

13.  What does Mommy do for her job?  Go on her computer.  You check pictures and stuff.  

14.  What is Mommy's favorite food?  Maybe like cake or something.  Make sure you add "something" because of course it's got to be something.  

15.  What makes you proud of Mommy? I don't know.  I'm really confused here. (lol)

16.  If Mommy were a cartoon character, who would she be?  How would I know because you're not actually a cartoon character.

17.  What do you and Mommy do together?  Every single time at the night we read together.  (We don't every night, but it sounds good and I love that he said that.  Lol.)

18.  How are you and Mommy the same?  I don't think we're the same.  I'm a boy, you're a girl. 

19.  How are you and Mommy different?  We have different hair.  One is a boy; one is a girl.  We have different shirts and stuff.

20.  How do you know Mommy loves you?  Because I hug you and you really really like it. :)

21.  Where is Mommy's favorite place to go?  Moes

22.  What makes you happy?  At recess playing with my friends.

23.  What makes you sad?  Not really anything.  Well, like people hitting me really hard.

24.  What makes you laugh?  You. (referring to Mom)  That's easy. :)

25.  What is your favorite thing to do?  To hug you.

26.  What is your favorite food and drink?  Food- pizza; Drink- water

27.  What is your favorite color?  Red

28.  Where is your favorite place to go?  Little Caesar's Pizza

29.  What are your favorite movies or TV shows?  Space Jam 2

30.  What is your favorite book?  I Love You Through and Through

Sophia is a TEENAGER! Happy 13th!

I'm officially the mom of a teenager!!!!! (Seriously can't believe it.) Happy 13th Birthday to my Sophia! We celebrated playing putt putt, laser tag, arcade games, and batting cages with the family. Sophia is smart, funny, sweet, and gorgeous! She cares for others and is a giver. She's an interesting conversationalist and an empath. She still lets me hold her hand. I am so blessed to have this girl in my life. 💓I look forward to all the years God blesses me with her.

4.  How does Mommy make you laugh?  Sometimes she'll randomly dance or make weird faces.

5.  What was Mommy like as a child?  She looked like me, apparently. It's not like I was there. She did cheerleading. She read a lot. Smart. That's it. 

6.  How old is Mommy?  oh no! 39...turning 40 in....oh shoot, is it June or July??  June!  30th!  Am I right??

7.  How tall is Mommy?  5'5; and I'm 5'1 3/4 and about to be as tall as you!

8.  What is Mommy's favorite thing to do? Go to Hawaii with her friends.

9.  What does Mommy do when you're not around?  Clean, edit, and cry about the fact that I'm gone. Obviously.

10.  If Mommy becomes famous, what will it be for? Photography

11.  What is Mommy really good at?  Photography and I guess just being a mom in general.

12.  What is Mommy not very good at? Killing the dinosaurs on the arcade game from Chuckles.

13.  What does Mommy do for her job? Oh, she's a photographer and a mom.

14.  What is Mommy's favorite food?  Steak

15.  What makes you proud of Mommy?  She's a hard-working single mom.

16.  If Mommy were a cartoon character, who would she be?  the mom from Alexa and Katie...She's protective, and you both have brown hair.

17.  What do you and Mommy do together? We watch TV, eat, ride in the front part of the car, listen to music together.

18.  How are you and Mommy the same? We look similar.

19.  How are you and Mommy different?  Different hair color and age.

20.  How do you know Mommy loves you? She tells me!

21.  Where is Mommy's favorite place to go?  Hawaii

22.  What makes you happy?  Talking to my friends and watching cop shows with my family and eating food with family and friends.

23.  What makes you sad?  People being rude.  It also makes me mad.  

24.  What makes you laugh? People being stupid sometimes.  Like silly.  Just random jokes out of the blue are really funny.

25.  What is your favorite thing to do? Everyday things- listening to music; but if I got to do anything- traveling the world would be awesome!  Being rich enough to have traveling as a hobby.  

26.  What is your favorite food and drink?  Pad Thai from Rain or Sweet Basil or steak.  There is this one burger from Bad Daddy's Burger; it was just amazing!  

27.  What is your favorite color?  Blue

28.  Where is your favorite place to go?  Dollywood

29.  What are your favorite movies or TV shows?  I like YouTube a lot.  I don't watch much TV.  I like The Rookie and SWAT.  

30.  What is your favorite book?  the first Hunger Games book; a close second would be the first and second Divergent books.
