Ezra is TEN!!!

 

Happy Birthday to this TEN year old!!! My dude. I love this boy BIG. He is responsible, hardworking, athletic, competitive, and a protector. He literally begs to cut the grass. (Sometimes I have to say no when it's been 3 times in a week. 😂) His favorite thing to do is play soccer. And I am very sure that one of the highlights of my life has been and will be watching this kid play sports. I absolutely love cheering him on! I pray all the time that God uses him for His glory. 💙

I ask my kids these same birthday questions every year on their exact birthday.  Here are Ezra's responses on his 10th birthday. :-)

1.  What is something Mommy always says to you?  I love you.

2.  What makes Mommy happy?  When we give her hugs and kisses and all of that and when she makes money.

3.  What makes Mommy sad?  When I mess with her and I say that I hate her, and when a boyfriend breaks up with her.

4.  How does Mommy make you laugh?  By laughing...like when she laughs at my joke, I start laughing.

5.  What was Mommy like as a child?  Crazy, just kidding.  Good...in her parent's opinion.

6.  How old is Mommy?  50...no, not actually.... 39

7.  How tall is Mommy?  (shrugs) 5'6? 5'5?

8.  What is Mommy's favorite thing to do? Hang out with her college friends.

9.  What does Mommy do when you're not around?  Clean the house and go out and meet people.

10.  If Mommy becomes famous, what will it be for? For money.  Why else would you get famous?

11.  What is Mommy really good at?  Photography

12.  What is Mommy not very good at?  Lying...because we can always tell when you're going to hang out with a guy. 

13.  What does Mommy do for her job? Photography and editing.

14.  What is Mommy's favorite food?  Steak?  Tacos?  Thai? I dunno, what is it, Mom?

15.  What makes you proud of Mommy?  How she cleans the house a lot...like the whole house.

16.  If Mommy were a cartoon character, who would she be?  The Beauty and the Beast person....the girl.  

17.  What do you and Mommy do together? Eat, play board games

18.  How are you and Mommy the same? We both like pickles and olives.

19.  How are you and Mommy different?  I love cantaloupe and you don't, right?

20.  How do you know Mommy loves you? She gives me hugs and tells me she loves me.

21.  Where is Mommy's favorite place to go?  Battlefield to do pictures?

22.  What makes you happy?  The basketball hoop and playing soccer.

23.  What makes you sad?  When mom or dad have to go.  

24.  What makes you laugh? People's jokes

25.  What is your favorite thing to do? Soccer. I really like soccer. That's pretty easy.  

26.  What is your favorite food and drink?  Coke Zero and Sweet Basil Thai food

27.  What is your favorite color?  Red

28.  Where is your favorite place to go?  Sweet Basil, Dave and Busters, Lake Winnie

29.  What are your favorite movies or TV shows?  Movie- Lion King, 101 Dalmations (real one, not cartoon), Aladdin (cartoon version)

30.  What is your favorite book?  Dog Man

Amos is 6!

Every year I ask my children these same questions on their exact birthday.  These are Amos' answers at the big 6 years old. 

1.  What is something that Mommy always says to you?  I love you.

2.  What makes Mommy happy?  Um, so we don't be mean to you, I guess?

3.  What makes Mommy sad?  That we fight.

4.  How does Mommy make you laugh?  You show me silly pictures.  You make funny faces.

5.  What was Mommy like as a child? Loving

6.  How old is Mommy? 39

7.  How tall is Mommy?  Uh, like this tall (and holds his hand up.)

8.  What is Mommy's favorite thing to do?  Like play games with me and stuff.  

9.  What does Mommy do when you're not around?  Work, do some music, and some fun stuff you want to do.

10.  If Mommy becomes famous, what will it be for?  Paying things that you want.

11.  What is Mommy really good at?  Running, ya know jogging.

12.  What is Mommy not very good at? Football and baseball because you've never really played it.  Are you good at blowing candles?   

13.  What does Mommy do for her job?  Work on your computer.

14.  What is Mommy's favorite food?  Spaghetti

15.  What makes you proud of Mommy?  Nothing (and laughs). No, I'm joking.  It's something.  Working on your job.

16,  If Mommy were a cartoon character, who would she be?  Hulk.  You could be Captain America.  

17.  What do you and Mommy do together?  Oh my gosh, that's easily play games.

18.  How are you and Mommy the same?  Because we have the same skin.

19.  How are you and Mommy different?  Because mom is not the same thing as kid.

20.  How do you know Mommy loves you?  Because hugging you.

21.  Where is Mommy's favorite place to go?  Chick-Fil-A

22.  What makes you happy?  Everything.

23.  What makes you sad?  That I have no friends to play with.

24.  What makes you laugh? Funny people

25.  What is your favorite thing to do?  Race

26.  What is your favorite food and drink?  Cake, I guess?  And water.

Sophia is 12

My girl is TWELVE!  Every year, I ask my kids these same questions on their exact birthday.  Here are Sophia's answers!

1.   What is something that Mommy always says to you?  I know I say this every time, but it's really true...I love you.

2.  What makes Mommy happy?  When I say 'I love you' and when I obey.

3.  What makes Mommy sad?  When I disobey and you have to get me in trouble.  At least that's what you say.

4.  How does Mommy make you laugh?  You're just like quirky and weird sometimes.

5.  What was Mommy like as a child? Well, apparently, you were like me when you were 12.  

6.  How old is Mommy? 800...(she's so funny. hahaha) no, no, no 38. 

7.  How tall is Mommy?  5'5

8.  What is Mommy's favorite thing to do?  You love reading and hanging out with us.  

9.  What does Mommy do when you're not around?  She cleans, probably watches Friends, The Office, Parenthood, and things like that.

10.  If Mommy becomes famous, what will it be for?  Nothing...(and she laughs).  Well, let me think for a second....photography!

11.  What is Mommy really good at?  Being a mom. (all the feels for me)

12.  What is Mommy not very good at?  You're not great at sports even though you were a cheerleader and did a lot of jumproping....but like no not good with football, throwing balls.

13.  What does Mommy do for her job?  Photography, stay-at-home mom, a homeschool mom, a babysitter, and a dog walker.

14.  What is Mommy's favorite food?  Steak and baked potato for dinner.  She also likes bacon for breakfast.

15.  What makes you proud of Mommy?  You're a really hard worker, and you're a really good mom.

16,  If Mommy were a cartoon character, who would she be?  Your Bitmoji. Lol.

17.  What do you and Mommy do together?  We do these questions.  You homeschool me.  You read books to me.  We also do devotions with Ezra and Amos and sometimes Callie and Alistair.

18.  How are you and Mommy the same?  Well, apparently, you looked like me when you were 12.  We both like math.  We look a lot alike in general...I thought you were me as a baby.

19.  How are you and Mommy different?  We do have differences in our looks.  I have blonde hair, you have brown hair.  You're an adult, I'm a kid.  There's activities and foods that I like that she doesn't.  And activities and foods that she likes that I don't.  

20.  How do you know Mommy loves you?  She says it a lot and she always helps and provides for us.

21.  Where is Mommy's favorite place to go?  Hmmm. You love Olive Garden.  You like being at home just in general.  You like going to Mamaw and Papaw's house and hanging out with them.  And you like going outside and going on walks.  

22.  What makes you happy?  I like gifts.  I try to be as thankful as possible for any gifts at all and it's just nice that someone thought of me and used their money on me when they could have used it on something else.  

23.  What makes you sad?  Getting in trouble. That's pretty much it.  

24.  What makes you laugh?  You because you're quirky sometimes.  And Callie because she's sarcastic sometimes and it's really funny.  And Dad because he's just funny sometimes.  

25.  What is your favorite thing to do?  I love hanging out with Callie.  I love going to Dad's house and coming back.  I love playing outside with the neighbors.  And I love my birthday, even though it's during Coronavirus and everything is closed.  I love watching YouTube.

26.  What is your favorite food and drink?  I love Chinese, Mexican, Thai, just any Asian food.  I also love mashed potatoes, steak, and baked beans.  My favorite drink is Cherry Coke Zero.

27.  What is your favorite color? Cyan and navy blue

28.  Where is your favorite place to go?  Asian restaurants, Mamaw and Papaw's house, I like being here (home), I like being outside.  I like going to Dad's house.

29.  What are your favorite movies or TV shows?  I like Alexa and Katie.  I like The Masked Singer and The Voice.  Basically, all Food Network shows.  I like Night at the Wax Museum 1 and 2.  Lord of the Rings is good.  

30.  What is your favorite book? Brady, Sign of the Beaver, Homer Price, All-of-a- Kind Family, and Anne of Green Gables.
